What is a TeachMeet? Although they started back in 2006 as informal meetings focusing on the use of technology, many now focus on other subjects and themes or, as is the case with #teachmeetchester TeachMeets, have no specific focus, but share good ideas from across the curriculum and across primary and secondary settings. TeachMeet Highland Perthshire is CPD by teachers for teachers, a chance to come together, share ideas and perhaps most importantly, connect with each other. This event offers time and space to listen to others and share what you do in a friendly, informal setting. If you walk away from a teachmeet inspired, or with a new colleague, or with a new idea (or with all three!) the event has achieved its goal. Until we reach all teachers, and all of them are sitting bored at the events, we have work to do. The TeachMeet offers the opportunity to share tried and tested techniques and is an opportunity to network with other teachers from different schools.
