ories in aging is related to both within- and between-subject variability (Dennis et al., 2007, 2014a), we aimed to examine the relationship between individual differences in memory perfor-mance and the neural correlates underlying veridical and false memories in older adults. Why do some people suffer from depression and memory loss as they age, whereas others stay well for the whole of their lives? We examine the effect of genes and life history on ageing using neuropsychology and neuro-imaging techniques as part of large scale epidemiological and experimental medicine studies.

CiteScore values are based on citation counts in a range of four years (e.g. 2016-2019) to peer-reviewed documents (articles, reviews, conference papers, data papers and book chapters) published in the same four calendar years, divided by the number of features of human brain aging, mild cognitive impairment (MCI), and early AD (Cotman and Head, 2008, Sarasa and Pesini, 2009).

From cellular and DNA damage to neuronal pathology, from neural system dysfunction to fMRI/connectome analytics, and from clinical imaging of dementia to pharmaceutical approaches, the study of NBOA is an epic journey. Functional Neurobiology of Aging is the first book to comprehensively address this rapidly expanding topic. The book is organized according to four general functional domains: memory and cognition, senses, movement, and neuroendocrine regulation, whose impairments during aging involve the nervous system.
